Directions for "Prayertime" flip chart

There will be ten strips of paper that will be cut out and stapled together to form a flip chart. At the bottom of each strip is a letter of the alphabet The top of each strip gives a verse to look up. Each person guesses which word the letter stands for, and writes that word near the top of the page, right under the verse location. Then each person copies the entire verse under the title word.

I have not written in the verses on the flip chart, so that you can substitute verses of your choice. Write the verses within the horizontal dotted lines. The verses I suggest are found on the Fill in the Blanks version (link found below).

Most answers are obvious but for three of the letters it well help to have these Hints:
Yield = offer yourselves
Expect = believe
Endure = don’t give up

For older students, this activity can also be done without the flip chart, simply filling in blanks after each letter of the alphabet. We have also done this using walllpaper samplers to make a booklet. In all cases, the teacher can tell more about each concept after the teaching aid is completed.

Answers expected are: P=praise, R=repent, A=According to His Will, Y=yield (offer yourselves), E=expect (meaning believe, have faith), R=reconcile, T=Thanks, I=In Jesus' name, M=motive, E=Endure (don't give up)
